Sanaz Davarian, having a PhD in Physiotherapy, is a highly experienced physiotherapist who has been practicing for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Iran in 2003 and began her career as a physiotherapist. She continued her academic education and earned her PhD in 2012. She worked as an assistant professor before moving to Canada, where she has continued to practice and teach students at the Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels.
Sanaz believes in a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to patient care and emphasizes the importance of active patient participation in treatment, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
Sanaz is an expert in neuromusculoskeletal disorders, with a particular focus on spinal and pelvic pain, knee disorders, shoulder injuries, headaches and TMJ disorders. She has experience working with clients who have spinal postural malalignments, such as juvenile scoliosis/hyperkyphosis, and is knowledgeable in manual techniques, kinesiotaping, and Clinical Pilates.
In her spare time, Sanaz enjoys playing basketball, tennis, hiking, and biking with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading books and spending time with friends. As a former competitive swimmer and basketball player, Sanaz understands the importance of regular exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She is fluent in English and Farsi.
