Submit your insurance claim.

Some extended-health plans require patients to submit their own receipts. These short video tutorials walk you through it for the major Canadian insurers.

Direct billing first

For most plans, we bill the insurer directly so you pay $0 out of pocket. Use these videos only if your plan doesn't allow direct billing.

Keep your receipt

We email a receipt after every session. You'll need it (plus your provider details) to file a claim with any of the six insurers below.

Manulife Group Benefits — claim steps

  1. 0:02Sign in to GroupNet. Open the Manulife GroupNet member portal at groupnet.manulife.com and sign in with your plan member ID and password.
  2. 0:30Navigate to Submit a Claim. From the dashboard, select "Benefits" then choose "Submit a Claim" from the drop-down menu.
  3. 1:00Select Physiotherapy. Under Health Benefits, choose "Physiotherapy" as the claim type and enter the date of your appointment.
  4. 1:30Enter provider details and upload receipt. Enter your physiotherapist's registration number and provider name. Upload your receipt as a PDF or photo. Review the claim total and submit.

Sun Life Benefits — claim steps

  1. 0:00Sign in to My Client Space. Go to sunlife.ca and sign in to My Client Space with your Sun Life member ID.
  2. 0:30Open the Health Claims section. Under "Benefits," select "Health Claims" and click "Submit a Claim."
  3. 0:55Choose Physiotherapy. Select "Physiotherapy" as the expense type and enter the service date from your receipt.
  4. 1:20Upload receipt and submit. Enter the total charged by your provider and attach your receipt image. Confirm the details and submit — Sun Life typically processes within 2 business days.

Canada Life Benefits — claim steps

  1. 0:00Sign in to My Canada Life at Work. Go to mycanadalife.com and sign in to "My Canada Life at Work" with your member credentials.
  2. 0:30Go to Make a Claim. Select "Benefits" from the top menu, then click "Make a Claim" and choose "Health."
  3. 1:00Select Physiotherapy and enter details. Pick "Physiotherapy" as the service type, enter the treatment date, and fill in your provider's name and amount billed.
  4. 1:30Upload receipt and submit. Attach your receipt as an image or PDF. Review all details and click Submit. Canada Life sends an email confirmation once processed.

Pacific Blue Cross Benefits — claim steps

  1. 0:00Sign in to Pacific Blue Cross member portal. Go to pac.bluecross.ca and sign in with your member ID and password.
  2. 0:25Navigate to Submit a Claim. Select "Claims" from the main menu and choose "Submit a Claim."
  3. 0:50Enter Physiotherapy details. Choose "Physiotherapy" from the expense list. Enter the service date, amount, and your provider's information.
  4. 1:20Attach receipt and submit. Upload a clear photo or scan of your Medstar receipt. Click Submit — Pacific Blue Cross typically processes within 5 business days.

Equitable Life Benefits — claim steps

  1. 0:00Sign in to iClient. Go to equitable.ca and sign in to the iClient member portal with your plan certificate number and password.
  2. 0:30Open Submit Health Claim. From the dashboard, click "Claims" and select "Submit Health Claim."
  3. 0:55Select Physiotherapy and fill in details. Choose "Physiotherapy" as the benefit type. Enter the service date and the amount you were charged.
  4. 1:25Upload receipt and submit. Attach your receipt. Review your provider's details and click Submit. Equitable Life confirms claims by email.

GreenShield Benefits — claim steps

  1. 0:00Sign in to GreenShield+. Open the GreenShield+ app or go to greenshield.ca and sign in with your member ID.
  2. 0:28Navigate to Submit a Claim. Tap or click "Claims" in the navigation, then select "Submit a Claim" and choose "Health."
  3. 0:55Choose Physiotherapy. Select "Physiotherapy" from the list of eligible expenses. Enter the appointment date and service amount.
  4. 1:20Upload receipt and submit. Photograph your Medstar receipt or upload a saved image. Confirm the details and submit — GreenShield typically sends a decision within 2–3 business days.
